For businesses
Log the job, take the photographs on site, mark it done, and the client gets a text. What they confirm is the ledger. Nothing on it can be bought and nothing on it can be edited.
Not open yet
Affirmat is opening in Ireland first, and it is not open yet. Nothing on this site can be signed into, searched or put up today.
There is no waiting list and no sign-up: this page asks for nothing, not even an email address. It is here so what is being built can be read and held to.
Everything below is built and tested. None of it has yet met a phone network, a customer or a bill.
These pages describe the screens and the words of the product itself. None of those screens can be opened yet, so read them as the rules rather than as instructions.
How it works
- What a ledger counts
- Confirmed jobs, and how many of those were verified on site. The confirmation rate is shown beside the job count, always, and it is taken over jobs marked done at least 14 days ago. What it does not say. No figure on a ledger is editable by anybody, including Affirmat. They are computed from the records and cached; there is no admin screen that can change one.
- Past work
- Up to 30 jobs from the last 3 years can be added when a business starts, so a ledger does not open empty. Each shows the year it was done. What it does not say. Past work is marked as past on the card, counts for less in results than confirmed work, and stops counting entirely twelve months after it was confirmed.
- What it costs
- Nothing to be listed, nothing to be found, nothing for a lead. A business never pays to appear anywhere in Affirmat. What it does not say. Rank cannot be bought at any price. There are no featured listings, no boosts and no sponsored results, and no plan changes where a business appears.
- Who can log a job
- The owner, or a member of staff on the team. The person who took the photographs is named on the job and it appears on their own profile as well as on the business ledger. What it does not say. A business cannot confirm its own job from any phone or email on its team, and it cannot ask one client more than the allowed number of times in a year.
What you cannot do, and neither can anybody else
- You cannot edit a figure on your own ledger, and no one at Affirmat can edit it for you. The numbers are computed from the records and cached.
- You cannot see a rating before it is public, and you cannot choose which clients are asked. Every job marked done gets the same link and the same four ratings.
- You cannot pay for a better position. There is no plan, no price and no arrangement that changes where you appear.
- You cannot remove a confirmed job, a closed snag or a dispute outcome. You can archive a job, which keeps the record and takes it off the front of the ledger.
Getting the stamp on your photographs
A photograph carries a stamp when Affirmat can establish when and where it was taken. On an iPhone, location is removed from a photo when it is shared unless you allow it, so the ordinary label is time matched. Turning on location for the camera, and taking the photographs from the job screen while you are on site, is what earns location matched and verified. The full ladder is in what the words mean.
